Our Private Waters
Farm on the Cartecay
This has currently been our flagship property for the last six years. It is a third generation 200 acre farm with some family members still operating it for cattle and goats just 15 minutes from Ellijay. Don’t worry as farm animals are kept fenced out of the river and nothing awaits you but the Fish. Enjoy the mountains with Stover Mountain looking down over the river valley. River holds a good population of rainbows and a sprinkling of browns. This ½ mile stretch is managed for trophy fish and is an outstanding resource for our Beginner’s Special and half day trips.
Frog Hollow
The Chestatee River through this old farm property is gorgeous. It boasts high numbers of stocked and hold over rainbows. It is more open when compared to most private waters. It is located outside of Dahlonega and is perfect for a half day trip.
Fern Valley
This private section of the Soque River is located only 4 miles north of Clarkesville. Their deep runs and larger water make for great trout habitat and easy fly fishing. They have rainbow, brook and brown trout. This property has room for up to four anglers per day and we can do either half or full day trips.
Riverside
This private section of the Soque River is located outside of Batesville. Riverside can be a trout fisherman’s paradise on this scenic stretch. They have rainbow, brook and brown trout. This is another property which is perfect for a half day trip.
Associated with Trout Unlimited, US Forest Service, American Fly Fishing Trade Association, North Georgia Trout Online, Dahlonega, GA and Fannin and Gilmer Counties’ Chamber of Commerce.
